Quest-Giving NPCs

White star dots

Map dots shaped like white stars that mark NPCs offering quests, per Mordecai and the cookbook.

Story so far

Scanning the Large Ursine Settlement, Carl picked out oddities among the dozens of NPC dots. A pair of dots marked with crosses identified elites, both moving away from him. He also saw two different white dots shaped like stars — a symbol he hadn't encountered before, but which he knew from Mordecai and the cookbook sometimes indicated quest-giving NPCs.

The town's population was mostly large, hulking Ursine, with multiple Bush Elves and Dryads, the occasional dwarf and even a bugbear, plus a dozen other random creatures. Notably absent were the Monkeys that seemed to plague the more southern cities, and there were no other crawlers in sight.

Appearance
