Borant System Government

The state behind the crawl, formally severed from the corporation that shares its name and left with nothing.

Story so far

The Borant System Government exists in this chapter only to be carefully distinguished from the company it spawned. The planet-wide announcement is explicit that the Borant Corporation is "not to be confused with the Borant System Government," and that a Syndicate court has declared the corporation an independent, non-governmental entity. The wording matters: it is the legal wedge that severs the two.

With that severance the government loses everything it had riding on Earth. It no longer holds any stake in the planet, the resources, or the production of Dungeon Crawler World: Earth. Regency has been granted solely to the corporation and its new principal owners, the Valtay Corporation. The notice presents this as nothing more than a courtesy, and insists nothing will change for anyone listening — but for the government that opened the dungeon, it is a total dispossession delivered in a single sentence.

Role

The star system's government, formerly backing the crawl and, as of this announcement, stripped of any stake in it.

Relationships

Borant — The corporation it shares a name with, now legally independent of it and no longer carrying its stake in the crawl.
Syndicate — The court authority whose declaration cut it loose from the production entirely.
Valtay Corporation — The party that gains what it lost — regency now rests with the corporation and its new principal owners.
