Fail Safes

Fail Safe trap add-ons

Trap add-ons that notify their owner whenever a trap is disabled or set off.

Story so far

The Gold Trapmaster Box awarded for the Insurgent achievement contained a pack of twenty of these add-ons, which Carl immediately judged very useful. Attached to a trap, a Fail Safe sends him a notification the moment that trap is disabled or triggered — critical intelligence for a man ringing an entire settlement with explosives and trying to track hunters approaching through the jungle.

Carl already built the same principle into his alarm traps at Point Mongo's six entrances, which notify him if anyone tampers with them.

Appearance

A pack of twenty small trap modifications.

Role

Gives Carl remote awareness of every trap in his perimeter around Point Mongo.

Relationships

Carl — Won twenty of them and uses them on his perimeter traps.

Insurgent — Awarded in the Gold Trapmaster Box for the achievement.
