Story so far
A congressman and old friend of Donald from Georgia, Mick handles organization, land acquisition, contractors and materials for the Atlanta project. His logistics work is separate from Donald and Anna Thurman's design work. He presses to see the plans and later misses a dinner meeting, saying he went to a movie and may have lost Anna's emails to junk mail.
At the convention site, Mick takes Donald into the South Carolina facility despite his reluctance. In a private apartment, he says he has always loved Donald like a brother, apologizes for being hard on him, and says he asked Paul Thurman to give Donald a top-team place offered to Mick. Mick says he would rather be underground with the first group. Thurman subsequently assigns him Donald's appearance at the Tennessee tent.
Helen's records later show Mick under the name Rick Brewer: he married Helen and had two children with her. Donald resents the domestic life Mick had while remembering their last-minute switch. Anna acknowledges that she and Mick acted together in the events Donald confronts her about. Donald now believes Anna manipulated Mick as part of arranging that switch; the attribution of manipulation is his conclusion.
