Frankie is Mission's childhood friend and a farm-security worker who hopes his father can help them enter IT; he tackles Rodny after the shooting.
A tall, lanky childhood friend of Mission Jones, Frankie grew up near the water plant and works at the farms' main security gate. He wanted to farm rather than follow Frankie's Father into IT Security. During Mission's visit, he reports that the cafeteria is growing sprouts and reportedly corn, argues that rival groups use each other's actions to justify excess, and describes the mayor as frightened and old rather than in control. He asks Mission to pass a greeting to Mrs. Crowe.
When Mission finds him at The Nest, Frankie wears green and white farm-security clothing. His formerly shoulder-length hair, which his mother threatened to cut, is now short.
Frankie believes his father can help them pass security and get deeper into IT. When men arrive outside the classroom, he calls for his father as though he has spotted him among them. After the shooting, he tackles Rodny.
