Silo Seventeen Security Radio

A caged wall radio links Jimmy to portable sets; he now leaves it on overnight, listening for chatter through its hiss.

Story so far

The wall-mounted radio is protected by a metal cage while leaving its switches and dials accessible. It communicates with the portable unit carried by Solo's Father, and Solo uses it to speak with his father and Deputy Hines. A security guard later picks up the portable radio and uses it to question Jimmy.

Jimmy turns the wall radio down until its hiss is barely audible. He now leaves it on overnight to listen for chatter, but the hiss enters his dreams as outside air leaking through the door.
