The corporation that ran Milu as an illegal remnant mine and schemed to destroy the facility, exposed by Murderbot's evidence.
GrayCris's true design at Milu is laid bare. The 'terraforming' facility was always an illegal strange-synthetics and alien-remnant mining platform, guarded from the start by combat bots (hostiles) meant to repel raiders, keep workers in line, and, once the site was abandoned, destroy any intruders while the whole facility collapsed into the planet to erase the evidence. The only thing preventing that collapse was GoodNightLander Independent's tractor array, so GrayCris hired the assassins Wilken and Gerth, posing as GI security, to disable it with an encrypted signal, launching a combat bot in a work zipper to wreck the array, then herd the team home believing it a hopeless accident.
GrayCris apparently did not warn its own hirelings about the combat bots, content to let them die too. The scheme fails: Don Abene's team knocks the zipper off course and saves the array, the assassins are captured as witnesses, and Murderbot escapes with the diggers' logs proving the remnant-mining, plus further evidence from the assassins' gear, all of which it now means to deliver to Dr. Mensah in person. This connects Milu to GrayCris's earlier crimes: the DeltFall massacre and the attack on Mensah's PreservationAux survey.
Principal antagonist organization; its Milu cover-up unravelled and its crimes newly documented against it.
