Story so far
Betsy is Bobbie Draper's old Goliath-pattern Martian Force Recon armor, maintained and charged in the Rocinante's hold despite years without use. The suit embodies the military tradition from which Laconia's own academy and powered infantry descend, but the occupiers' armor now incorporates unfamiliar improvements and built-in weapons.
When Laconia impounds the ship, access to Betsy disappears with access to clothing, tools, and guns. Alex Kamal suggests using the promised escorted visit to remove the suit if possible. Bobbie offers no easy answer; a Goliath suit is plainly more consequential than personal effects and would give the displaced crew military capability the occupiers have every reason to deny.
