Story so far
Odachi is one of the conventional warships spread around Independence for the first direct confrontation with the Heart of the Tempest. Its separation from other ships is meant to prevent one magnetic-field attack from destroying multiple targets.
The flagship instead employs concealed conventional rail guns, with rounds arriving thirty seconds before coalition models expect. Impacts are seen on Odachi, but no immediate system confirmation reaches People's Home. Its damage contributes to the realization that nearly a third of the attack force has been struck before Independence itself is destroyed.
Appearance
A conventional coalition warship visible mainly as a tactical marker in a dispersed long-range formation; its class and design are not described.
