Daphne Kohl

Kohl · Chief Kohl · Medina duty officer · Operations duty officer

Kohl recognizes Holden's covert appeal and risks Laconian execution by admitting an underground technician to operations under the cover of routine repairs.

Story so far

Daphne Kohl first protected Medina by purging its security data and surrendering before resistance became slaughter. She remains a duty officer in station operations under Laconian control, making her one of the underground's most valuable potential insiders even though no direct recruitment can safely occur.

James Holden calls without using his name, speaks of repairs with Saba, and asks her to admit Ramez for a panel inspection. His familiar voice, Saba's name, and mention of the Laconian weapon must carry the entire request while surveillance may hear every word. Kohl understands and cooperates. Her access lets Ramez place the comm circuitry into diagnostic shutdown so Bobbie and Clarissa can remove a sensor without an alarm, an act that would likely bring execution if discovered.

Appearance

An adult female station technician whose physical features remain undescribed, wearing practical operations clothing and maintaining controlled professionalism under occupation surveillance.

Role

Kohl is the underground's unspoken ally inside official operations, using retained access to conceal covert technical action.
