Assurance of Peace

Void city Assurance of Peace · Newest void city · Fourth void city

The union's newest void city remains half built at Pallas-Tycho and cannot join the war for at least a year—if construction survives that long.

Story so far

Assurance of Peace is the newest Transport Union void city, under construction at the combined Pallas-Tycho shipyards. Like the completed cities, it was commissioned partly in response to colony worlds considering their own fleets, intended to command a ring gate while supporting a broad permanent population.

Only half complete when the Heart of the Tempest enters Sol, the city remains roughly a year from readiness. Camina Drummer cannot count its weapons or mass in the coming defense and privately doubts whether the union will retain enough freedom, shipyard capacity, or time for that year to exist as planned.

Appearance

A half-built giant void city held among the Pallas-Tycho shipyard structures, with incomplete habitation, drives, and weapon systems still exposed to construction space.

Role

Assurance of Peace is unavailable future strength and a measure of how abruptly Laconia has forced war before the union's expansion is ready.

Relationships

Transport Union — The Transport Union commissioned the city as long-term gate power and cannot yet deploy it.
Camina Drummer — Camina Drummer counts the half-built vessel only as a possibility that may never reach completion.
Heart of the Tempest — The Heart of the Tempest enters the system a year before the new city could oppose it.
