The crippled carrier yields the explorer’s true attack history, receives repairs and Eletra, then becomes the stage for Leonide’s failed hostage bargain.
The Barish-Estranza Supply Transport survives the explorer’s attack because one corporate SecUnit transmits a warning burst that lets its systems sever all comm and feed links before infection. The captured explorer fires three times, crippling propulsion, then abandons the unarmed carrier despite its supplies and stranded crew. Its intact SecSystem preserves edited security evidence of the compromised contact party and welcomes Murderbot as a priority user when the disguised SecUnit boards.
ART delivers engine components, while Arada returns Eletra and provides an extracted implant. Supervisor Leonide explains the attack but then attempts to bargain over the visitors’ freedom. Murderbot uses the transport’s own SecSystem to isolate the meeting area, takes guard Jete as a temporary shield, and prevents Leonide from reaching bridge or security staff. ART locks weapons on the bridge, forcing payment and release without firing.
The visitors depart for the colony’s Space Dock, leaving the supply transport with repair materials and its recovered employee but no alliance. Its chronology nevertheless proves the explorer was captured on returning from the surface and establishes the orbital dock as the next link in the disaster.
A mid-sized configuration of rounded tubes bundled together with irregular sharp projections. Its long dark hull bears three weapon scars across the aft, starboard side, and engine housing while repair cargo enters a module dock.
The supply transport is the surviving witness to the explorer’s capture and attack. Its records redirect the rescue to the colony dock, even as Leonide’s coercion destroys the possibility of trust.
