Dejah Thoris

the Dejah Thoris

Mustang's two-hundred-year-old dreadnought flagship, where the Gold host performs its Ancestor rite before the battle of Ilium.

Story so far

The Dejah Thoris is Mustang's flagship, a two-hundred-year-old dreadnought that anchors the Gold contingent of the Rising's fleet at Ilium. On its bridge the combined officer corps of Mustang's allies—Martian Reformers, Rim tyrants, the Telemanuses, and House Arcos, two hundred Praetors and Legates in all—kneel for the bloody Ancestor benediction on the eve of battle, and from it Mustang commands the southern half of the fleet alongside Romulus while Darrow marshals the north.

Appearance

An ancient, cavernous dreadnought two centuries old, its bridge wide enough to hold two hundred kneeling Gold knights in ceremonial armor.

Role

Mustang's flagship at Ilium; the ceremonial and command heart of the Rising's Gold fleet.

Relationships

Mustang — Its commander, who leads the Gold host and the southern fleet from its bridge.
Romulus au Raa — Her co-commander over Io, marshaling the southern armada from alongside her.
Darrow — The Reaper who watches the Gold benediction aboard her before taking his own ship north.
