Bad Lass

Darrow's second razor lodges shallowly in Fá's stomach armor during ashvar, leaving its owner disarmed without breaking the giant's protection.

Story so far

Bad Lass is one of the two razors Darrow carries into the full-metal duel with Volsung Fá, paired with Pyrphoros so he can keep the larger fighter at range. When Fá crowds him against the duel dome, Darrow follows Cassius's counsel not to fly and drives both blades forward.

Bad Lass bites into the warlord's stomach plate but cannot penetrate deeply enough to injure him. The collision tears the razor from Darrow's hand, leaving it lodged in Fá's armor while its owner retreats with a poisoned thigh. The failed thrust becomes a measure of how formidable Fá's panoply is.

Appearance

A dark flexible razor weapon, seen here embedded shallowly in the thick stomach armor of an enormous full-metal opponent.

Role

Bad Lass is Darrow's lost second blade in the opening exchange of ashvar.

Relationships

Darrow — Darrow loses Bad Lass when his decisive-looking thrust fails to penetrate Fá's armor.
