Phobos's buried orbital-defense nerve center lets Virginia command hundreds of engagements through a battle prism, then becomes a threatened escape pod as the surface breaches spread.
The Nucleus is the secure command center buried within Bastion One on Phobos, a white-walled operational sphere staffed by hundreds of officers, technicians, and remote naval commanders. It anchors the battle crown and prism systems through which Virginia au Augustus can manage the orbital-defense complex and up to a hundred and eighty ground engagements at once.
Once Lysander's clawDrills bypass Phobos's layered Bastion defenses, the Nucleus becomes the place where Virginia turns live combat data into a containment grid, shifting legions toward breaches while assigning Holiday Nakamura and staff part of the battlefield. The enemy's eventual reinforcement overwhelms Sector One, and Votum drills begin approaching Bastion One itself. Virginia orders the Nucleus stripped of nonessential personnel and prepared to drop into the Hollows as an escape pod, but remains at the controls to direct an orderly fighting withdrawal until the final possible moment.
A high-security white command sphere deep inside Bastion One, filled with tactical holo displays, battle-prism stations, layered doors, and the mechanical hum of Phobos's defense network.
The Nucleus is Virginia's command heart for the battle of Phobos, concentrating both the Republic's defensive intelligence and the vulnerability of its leadership in one target.
