Martian Congressional Republic Navy

MCRN · MCR · Martian navy

Mars's navy, now publicly blaming the Belt for the Donnager and beginning a military cordon across the outer system.

Story so far

The Martian Congressional Republic Navy retrieves the Canterbury survivors aboard its flagship Donnager, only to lose that warship to an attack and internal boarding action. Its original claim that Martian equipment was falsely implicated in the Canterbury's destruction has hardened into a public accusation that the Belt has spent years preparing organized aggression. The announced death toll is 2,086 Martians.

Mars declares that its navy will secure Belt stations, ships, and bases, dismantle hostile infrastructure, and seek Coalition cooperation from Earth. It reports incursions near Martian vessels and Pallas Station and claims eighteen illegal warships have already been destroyed. On Ceres, the declaration makes Mars's military power an immediate source of fear even though the officially neutral station is not yet under Martian control.

Appearance

The MCRN is represented by advanced warships, formal military broadcasts, black-draped state podiums, and officers whose language turns from procedural restraint to wartime certainty.

Role

The MCRN is the military power converting the Donnager's loss into an expansive campaign against the Belt.

Relationships

Donnager — The loss of the Donnager becomes the MCRN's public justification for a Belt-wide military cordon.
