Story so far
Star Helix Security is the Earth corporate force that has supplied Ceres's police and military-garrison functions. Its detectives work a swelling case board of assaults, rapes, poisonings, break-ins, and political violence while the Donnager's destruction destabilizes the Belt. Captain Shaddid has already constrained Miller's private search for Julie Mao as beyond the organization's authority and safety.
When the United Nations withdraws oversight and protection from Ceres, Star Helix's contract remains in force for the immediate transition, even though its political legitimacy has become uncertain. The insignia comes off Shaddid's uniform while a provisional government of local businesses and unions takes shape. The force is suddenly all that stands between station order and anarchy, yet it responds to the emergency by firing Miller rather than trusting a compromised detective with the new burden.

Star Helix is represented by corporate security uniforms, station houses, case boards, patrol carts, detention cells, and an authority whose Earth-backed insignia can be removed overnight.
