Cassius and Lysander's loyal Blue pilot, tortured then sheltered by the Raa, who reunites with Lysander and follows him into a desperate gambit.
Pytha, the sharp-tongued Blue pilot who has flown Cassius and Lysander for years, was separated from them at their capture and tortured on the first night by Pandora, unsure what she gave up. Held since on Io and treated well by Gaia au Raa, she is famished and frail but alive. Reunited with Lysander in Gaia's solarium, she astonishes him with a fierce embrace—'You're fucking alive'—and grieves the news of Cassius, which she already knew.
Pragmatic and gallows-humored about their odds of escaping Sungrave's guns, she nonetheless refuses to be left behind and joins Lysander on Gaia's scheme to free Romulus. In the tunnels she slips on ice and inadvertently fouls, then aids, Lysander's fight with Goroth, kicking the Obsidian—and, bewildered, follows Lysander as he abandons the plan to surrender to Dido's guards, 'choosing a side.'
A thin, spindly Blue woman with short dark-blue hair and a latticework of ribs, in a prisoner's uniform; gaunt and famished, red-eyed from grief.
Cassius and Lysander's Blue pilot; the tortured survivor who reunites with Lysander and shares his desperate turn.
