Kobachi

A wheedling, bigoted Green tech-fence of Hyperion's Bazaar, dealer in ghost tech and hidden military-grade contraband.

Story so far

Kobachi is the proprietor of Kobachi's Tech Emporium in the deep-level Bazaar of Hyperion, a mechanized gecko of a Green who has clung to his corner for forty years selling secondhand gadgets and shoddy knockoffs. A wheedling, disingenuous hustler—forever crying poverty and extortion at the hands of Watchmen—he is also the best ghost-tech man for fifty kilometers, filing off serial numbers and wiping digital signatures. He fences useless junk to the public but keeps a hidden back room stocked with a fortune in illegal military hardware: railguns, drones, data slicers.

A bigot who bars 'crows' and 'rusters' with signs and abuses Volga, he collapses into terrified compliance the moment Ephraim flashes the Syndicate's iron rose, warning the thief that the mob 'never lets you go.' He reveals his arsenal and takes Ephraim's custom order to shrink a titanium hunterkiller assassin drone for the heist.

Appearance

A little mechanized gecko of a man in his deep sixties, bald with dull metal implants rising from his skull, sleepy green eyes set with sensors and magnification lenses, in patched overalls hung with multiscrews and tools.
