Story so far

The Syndicate is a powerful criminal organization metastasizing through the wartime Republic's underworld, absorbing the best freelance hackers, thieves, and locksmiths—like the hacker Geratrix—as independents die out. It so alarms Sovereign Mustang's government that a Republic task force, on which Holiday serves, is charged with unwinding it. Its reach proves long and personal: after Ephraim refuses Holiday's plea to help bring it down, the Syndicate's pale-faced agents in black leather dusters and chrome glasses drag him off a ledge in the Mass and knock him out—claiming the master thief for their own designs.

Role
