Aurae

The gentle Pink in Diomedes's trust, who brings Lysander the news that Cassius has died and his body been taken.

Story so far

Aurae, a soft-spoken Pink whom the Storm Knight Diomedes trusts, is sent to Lysander's locked room bearing hard news. Blood still under her nails from tending the wounded, she gently tells him that Cassius has passed—dead of exsanguination not long before, while Lysander slept. When he asks to see the body, she must reveal that it is impossible: schoolmates of Bellerephon took the corpse to desecrate in the Waste, and Diomedes has gone to pursue them.

She bears the errand with compassion and dignity, standing as the messenger of the grief that finally shatters Lysander's composure.

Appearance

A Pink woman in gray slippers and servant's garb, hands clutched nervously together, eyes often on the ground; blood under her nails from tending the wounded.

Role

Diomedes's trusted Pink; the compassionate messenger who delivers news of Cassius's death to Lysander.
