Theodora

Darrow's devoted Pink steward, who tends his household, needles him about Victra, and blesses him for battle.

Story so far

Theodora, Darrow's Pink steward aboard the Pax, keeps his household through the war—guarding the vigil-keeping Roque's wish for privacy over Tactus's body against her own master's orders, and gently reminding Darrow he needs Nero au Augustus's legitimacy. Fond and sharp-tongued, she teases him that Victra 'would have eaten you up and spit you out,' and before the Iron Rain she tucks a small red flower clip—the sort a young girl would wear—into his hair as a knight's token, tearful and begging him not to die a hero's stupid death. She proves unexpectedly familiar with Ragnar, squeezing the giant's forearm as she departs.
