Pressy

the colony ship · Preservation’s original colony ship

Preservation’s lovingly preserved colony ship becomes a hidden rescue corridor and launch point for an antique life-tender.

Story so far

Pressy is the giant original colony ship around which Preservation Station was built. Though its oldest section was never refitted, descendants of the colonists preserve its dark metal corridors, worn paint, handwritten notices, game rules, schedules, and bulkhead drawings beneath protective material. Historical feed markers translate the ship’s records, and its delisted comm channel continuously broadcasts stories of the first arrival.

The captors hide their vessel in Pressy’s shadow, assuming the unlit hull and station geometry will conceal them. Murderbot crosses an unused interior section, finds intact emergency equipment, and launches an antique Life-Tender from an original airlock. The tender later returns six refugees to the same lock, where Special Investigator Aylen and Security receive them.

Appearance

A massive, dark-hulled historic colony ship embedded in the station, with patchy metal corridors, preserved paper notices and drawings, old emergency lockers, original airlocks, and a deep exterior shadow.

Role

Pressy is the preserved past that unexpectedly supplies the covert route and technology needed to protect Preservation’s newest refugees.
