Deep Freeze

Deep Freeze stores sleeping people behind reinforced doors; Darcy fears Charlotte could be returned there, perhaps dead.

Story so far

Deep Freeze holds women, children, and men unable to complete their shifts in rows of sealed beds. Donald, while known as Troy, pictured pie-shaped storage rooms with pods linked to walls by tubes and pipes; he himself slept there for a century. Anna Thurman said no one was supposed to be awakened from it, yet Donald later secretly woke her while Dr. Wilson was occupied. Victor's body had also been placed among the pods.

Erskine reported that Deep Freeze had overflowed into a lower cryopod level. In the later bloodstained-pod investigation, Darcy said the registered occupant belonged in Deep Freeze rather than the executive wing, and Doctor Whitmore located an old recorded awakening predating orientation. Darcy now suspects Charlotte may be put in Deep Freeze, possibly dead.
