Whitmore is the gray-haired doctor investigating restricted cryopod records and overseeing testing of Darcy’s bloodied bullet.
Darcy initially reported Doctor Whitmore’s view that identification files were corrupted. Treating the injured cryopod occupant, Whitmore found the patient stronger than he appeared; his team sedated him after he awakened and insisted he was not Troy. Whitmore then recognized that partial records could reflect restricted access rather than erasure.
He located two earlier Deep Freeze awakenings initiated by his office and sent Michael (medical assistant) to identify a pod occupant whose records he could not access. In the current investigation, Whitmore directs a laboratory technician to test the sample Darcy brings on a bullet.
