Story so far
Odette hosts 'Dungeon Crawler After Hours with Odette,' billed as the most-beloved interviewer in galactic history, and contracts with Borant for first right of refusal on crawler interviews at each floor opening. On air she appears as a crab-taur, but it's a costume: she is a roughly sixty-year-old human woman, legless and riding a floating disk. Once a crawler herself, she reached the thirteenth-floor stairwell but struck a deal and never descended, choosing to stay human at the cost of viewers.
She lost her legs to a Fiend Scythe on the eleventh floor, then drew a legendary belt from a gold loot box that lets her attach monster body parts—killing a fresh crab for each appearance. She was Mordecai's trainer and watches over him, which is how she found Carl and Donut; she admits she pushed Mordecai too hard. She presses Carl for his catchphrase, asks the pair to send Mordecai her way after his last crawl, and admits she loves money above all. She advises Carl to pick a class with pathfinder or mapping ability, and hints at a hidden option offered only to high-charisma crawlers.
