Frank Q and Maggie My

Frank Q · Maggie My

A crawler-killing former lawman who ambushed Carl and Donut, then lost his hand and his nerve to Carl's trap.

Story so far

Frank Q first surfaces as the crawler who shot and looted Rebecca W, taking everything but an apple core, prompting Carl to vow vengeance. Confronted in a Safe Room, Frank and partner Maggie My spun a story about being ICE agents who chased a suspect into the dungeon, but Carl caught the lies and they were frozen the instant they fired their guns, breaking the no-violence rule. Their fate after Carl's trap was left unknown to Carl.

By chapter 45, Frank's married-man backstory is exposed as fabricated, and he is seen having lost his right hand to Carl's dynamite trap, leaving a clean mannequin-like cut. He is now traumatized and silent, staring with a hollowed-out thousand-yard gaze.

Appearance

Tall, lean man around forty who carries himself like military or law enforcement, wearing a Seahawks beanie and heavy boots. His right hand is gone, severed in a straight, mannequin-like cut. Later hollowed-out with a thousand-yard stare.

Role

A rival crawler and confirmed crawler-killer who became one of Carl's targets.
