Story so far
When the team is moved into the stark warehouse room before The Fifth Floor, everything else shuts down. There are no notifications, Carl's UI is blocked out, he cannot take a screenshot, he cannot pass through any of the four one-way doors, and he cannot even put his paperback away.
The Valtay implant, however, keeps working, though what it tells him is limited. It is the only interface still reporting inside The Secondary Zone restrictions, a quiet reminder that Valtay Corporation gear operates on rules Borant Corporation does not fully control.
Appearance
An implanted enhancement with no external presence, noticed only when it keeps reporting after everything else goes dark.
