Province Boss

the ghoul conglomeration · the thing across the noodle

A thousand-mouthed mass of hair and quivering skin that plugs a hole in the noodle, glows with buffs, and is worth an achievement just to look at.

Story so far

Province bosses are now seeping through The Space In-Between into rooms that never had one, occupying both sides at once — dozens of reports come in of crawlers fighting their way back to an abandoned station 36 only to find a boss they cannot handle sitting in it. Carl believes killing one would blow every Soul Crystal in the area, which makes them the key to the whole plan and also unkillable by his party.

The one directly across from Carl's chamber has not tried to come through, most likely because of the portal. Princess Donut scouts it through the raised The Def Leppard Cart and describes it as hair and quivering skin covering up the hole, disgusting, glowing blue and another colour and sparkling — Carl assumes a million simultaneous buffs. She earns an achievement simply for looking at it. Her double-strength Magic Missile makes it bellow with a thousand mouths shrieking at once, and it charges, hits the portal, and is dumped into The Abyss — the whole cart shuddering as it goes. Something on the far side survives to hammer the portal afterward, which turns out to be Prepotente, who had the same boss two hours from death by induced cardiac arrest.
