Widget is a level-19 Grease-Gremlin Iron Tangle steam-engine technician the party meets after driving the Nightmare-Express through the Station Repair portal into Station-Repair-Hub-E. Goblin-shaped, Zev-sized, covered in black bristly hair, in a railroad cap and dragging a wrench three times his length, he zip-lines a purse-sized basket down a chain to reach the train, grumbling about crawlers stealing engines amid a ghoul infestation reaching critical mass. Cranky but ultimately warm (a mandatory 'Sensitivity Training' keeps him from attacking), and openly flirtatious toward Princess-Donut ('a lassie with meat on 'er bones'), he coughs up the key intel: the party came the hard way — they should have taken the Escape-Velocity train, which stops at all the stairwells (board it at 89 via the Tangerine line).
He offers to unhook the wrecked cars, work the turntable, and ride out with them via the employee line. He cares most that the boiler-demon Fire-Brandy is unharmed. Just as he waves farewell, a Festering-Ghoul Donut had 'killed' revives, rips his head off, and devours him in a heartbeat.
