Carl punctured the romance: 'Ferdinand' is really Gravy Boat, the creepy yellow tomcat belonging to Marjory on the first floor, who came to the window whenever Donut was in heat and had knocked up every female cat for blocks (prompting Beatrice's feud with Marjory and calls to animal control).
