The dungeon's third floor, an urban level where the 'real' games begin after the training floors.
The Over City is the dungeon's third floor, the first of the urban levels, where — as Mordecai tells the party — the training levels have concluded and 'the games may truly begin.' Carl, Princess Donut, and Mongo teleport in to a golden-bricked hallway beneath a false starry sky (an illusion, like a Las Vegas mall ceiling, only about twenty-five feet up), with three hours and thirty-five minutes until the previous floor collapses. It is a city floor home to creatures like the Incubus, and crawlers must find a stairwell down before the timer expires. Here Carl and Donut make their pivotal race and class selections in Mordecai's guildroom.
Golden-colored brickwork walls and floor, a plush red carpet leading to a guildhall door, all beneath an illusory dark sky dotted with stars and a colorful nebula, roughly twenty-five feet overhead.
The book's opening floor — an urban dungeon level and the first true 'game' floor.
