Pierre

Pierre the Porter

The Grapple porter of the Yellow Line's reward room, who hands out prize 'suitcases' by number.

Story so far

Pierre is the moon-faced Grapple porter who runs the Yellow Line Reward Room in car ten, behind a door marked 'Porters Only. Knock for Service.' A slow-spoken, gravelly level-25 non-combatant, he resembles Lurch with a wide pale face and dying-moss hair, in a 'Porter'-labeled uniform. Grapples are a bred-down slave race (hill giant crossed with Vegetal Ogrid, then large humans) prone to getting 'squirrelly' if unsupervised.

Pierre lets each crawler pick one numbered suitcase (1-200) per train line as their prize; Carl takes number one and Princess-Donut number eight. The 'prizes' are literal lost luggage — Carl's holds an Invisibility-Potion, but Donut's number eight is a deadly fire-ant trap.

Appearance

A quarter-giant with a wide, pale moon face and hair like dying moss, in a porter's uniform and cap; slow, gravelly-voiced, looming.

Role

The Yellow Line's reward-room porter — a lottery of prize suitcases, some treasure, some trap.

Relationships

Carl — Hands him prize suitcase number one, which holds an Invisibility Potion.
Princess Donut — Gives her suitcase number eight — a fire-ant trap that destroys car five.
Yellow Line Reward Room — The prize room he staffs in car ten.
