Swordsmen Guards

Swordsmen · town guardians

Ancient armored guardians whose soul-powered recharge ends as the overloaded crystal turns their depot into an explosion's epicenter.

Story so far

The town's Swordsmen are animated by High Elf technology and recharged nightly through the Soul Crystal. Magistrate Featherfall's attempt to gain full control over them creates Remex and enables Miss Quill's rule.

As the failed Final War spell destabilizes, the golden charge stops flowing and an entire wall of white map dots appears. The guardians begin waking while Carl and Princess Donut decide whether to flee or return to the crystal.

Appearance

Hundreds of metallic armored figures filling the depot floor; their yellow glow vanishes as they wake from stasis.

Role

Their power system creates both Remex's hiding place and the magical focal point of the event quest.

Relationships

Soul Crystal — It converts nearby deaths into the energy that recharges them each night.
Magistrate Featherfall — His failed attempt to dominate them begins the chain of magical disasters.
Carl — They awaken as hostile threats while he races back toward their power source.
