Water Lily
Water Lily spell
Signet's heirloom naiad sleep spell — the victim never wakes until she cancels it, and dies if she dies.
Story so far
Water Lily is a powerful heirloom sleep spell Tsarina Signet inherited from her naiad mother, a onetime princess of the Confederacy. It renders a victim unconscious until Signet chooses to cancel it — and if Signet dies, the sleeper dies too. Moving a sleeping victim (a 'water lily') from their spot starts their health draining until they're replaced.
Signet used it to knock out Princess Donut and hold her hostage, coercing Carl into fighting her summoning sacrifice; she keeps other captives, like the bear-clown Heather, under the same spell.
Role
Signet's coercive sleep-hostage magic, the leash she holds over Carl through Donut.
Relationships
Tsarina Signet — The caster who wields this inherited naiad spell.
Princess Donut — Held hostage under it, dying if Signet dies or if she's moved.
Heather — Kept captive under the same spell until roused for the summoning fight.
