Jumping Jen-Jen

Jen-Jen

The gnoll cart driver Gary kept marrow juice cold for, who died outside his door believing he was a coward.

Story so far

Jumping Jen-Jen was one of the transit security gnolls who drove the interdiction carts out of Station 75, and she is the reason Growler Gary's grief is unbearable rather than merely sad. Gary kept the marrow juice cold specially for her. When the ghouls came and he tried to fight from the tavern door and was stopped by an invisible wall, she called him a coward — and then died right in front of him, just outside the doorway, still thinking he was afraid.

She was also, unknowingly, part of the puzzle the party is trying to solve: Jen-Jen and the other drivers complained constantly about the Interdiction Rapid-Response Railway Repair Carts, and Gary never understood why. The reason was that the carts need two gnolls to start, so the drivers could never take them out, and the hobgoblins had to go in their own carts and could not clear the wrecks without the portals. She died complaining about a machine only her own hands could have started.
