Suppurating Eye

Suppurating Eye spell · necroscript scroll

A common lich spell — spill a bodily fluid and the caster can see and hear everything near it, like a spy camera.

Story so far

Mordecai identifies the blood-soaked Mysterious-Letter the party looted from GumGum as a used Suppurating Eye scroll — a common lich spell in rare scroll form. The caster reads it and leaks a bodily fluid onto a surface; thereafter they can see and hear anything near the spilled fluid, like a planted spy camera. Miss-Quill/Remex spilled the caster's own blood directly on the scroll, knowing it would be picked up by whoever investigated the murders — which is how the enemy overheard Carl vow revenge for GumGum and dropped a taunting corpse minutes later.

Princess-Donut turns it against them, staging a scripted conversation over the exposed scroll to misdirect the watcher during the magistrate raid.

Role

A surveillance spell the enemy uses to spy on the party — and that the party weaponizes for misdirection.
