Hobgoblin Smoke Curtain

smoke curtains · a smoke curtain

Spammed in every direction to hide from a god, and only partly successful — the clouds cling to the ground.

Story so far

With the Station Mimic cleaved apart and Grull striding through her gore toward him, Carl pulls a smoke curtain and tosses it, then starts spamming them in every direction, filling as much of the area as he can. It works well enough that the god steps on him without knowing he is there — but not well enough to matter strategically: the billowing clouds cling mostly to the ground, covering Carl while doing nothing to impede Grull's view of the trainyard, and the god continues taunting him, apparently undisturbed by the smoke.

Appearance

Low-clinging banks of grey smoke rolling between rails and burning rubble.

Role

Carl's concealment against a four-storey opponent, effective only at ankle height.

Relationships

Carl — Spammed them in every direction to survive.
Grull — Stepped on the hidden Carl without noticing, but was not blinded.
