Tycho Station

Tycho

Fred Johnson's industrial home becomes the guarded neutral ground for a fragile OPA summit after his death.

Story so far

Tycho Station is the large industrial station long associated with Fred Johnson and the OPA. After Fred's death, its familiar pale foam walls, workroom music, and docks feel altered to the Rocinante crew because its political owner and protector is absent. Its formal ownership rests with Bredon Tycho and a distant board, but the people physically present must keep it running.

Camina Drummer receives Holden with armed carts and declares that she will protect the place until someone makes a stronger opposing case. Tycho hosts the OPA summit because leaders unwilling to meet beneath Earth and Mars fleet protection will come here instead. The station becomes a diplomatic house whose security, communications access, and hospitality are all part of Holden's effort to build an anti-Marco alliance.

Appearance

A large industrial spin station with pale foam walls, an astringent recycled-air smell, distant bhangra from workrooms, dockside security carts, broad conference rooms, and habitation-ring corridors.

Role

Tycho is the contested neutral venue where Fred's coalition must prove it can continue without him.
