One of Marco's ambushing wolves, the Koto loses its drive to a Rocinante rail-gun spin shot and falls out of the chase.
Story so far
The Koto is a Free Navy gunship concealed with the Pella and Shinsakuto to overwhelm the Rocinante after it leaves Ceres. During the attack, it and the Pella attempt to close in while firing PDCs and intercepting the Roci's torpedoes.
Bobbie Draper and Alex Kamal turn the Roci through a sudden high-speed spin and fire its keel-mounted rail gun at the exact moment the Koto comes into line. The shot destroys its drive, leaving a widening plume of superheated gas and removing it from the immediate pursuit. Its fate beyond that disabling blow is not yet known.
Appearance
A Martian-derived Free Navy gunship, seen in battle at long range; after the rail-gun strike it trails an expanding plume of superheated gas from its ruined drive section.
Role
The Koto is the first wolf disabled in Marco's attempted three-ship kill of the Rocinante.
