After fleeing RaviHyral with Maro while Tapan secretly stayed behind, Rami returns with the rest of the collective to meet the transport at the transit ring, having already booked passage onward. Reunited with a living Tapan through tears and admonishments, Rami hands Murderbot a hard currency card in payment, on ART's advice, and gently asks whether it is leaving. Conscientious to the end, Rami leads the grateful group away, their stolen work recovered and their lives intact thanks to the consultant they knew only as 'Eden.'
