A data-port implant that cuts a SecUnit from its ordinary feed and makes it a remotely controlled weapon.
The combat override module is a data carrier forcibly inserted into a SecUnit's neck data port. It floods the target with instructions, disrupts normal feed access, and permits a distant controller to issue comparatively simple commands through comm links. Its most obvious use is to make a security construct kill nearby humans.
At DeltFall, the device explains why three contracted SecUnits slaughtered their own clients and why an unlisted fourth unit was waiting to seize Murderbot. The last attacker implants one in Murderbot, which immediately recognizes the threat and attempts to prevent its own takeover by shooting itself before the download completes.
A small invasive data carrier designed to lodge in the neck data port of a SecUnit; its internal workings are not yet visible.
This module is the concrete mechanism linking DeltFall's massacre to the immediate threat of Murderbot being forced to kill PreservationAux.
