Danis General Contracting

Danis

The corporation controlling half the convoy's support craft invokes emergency contract clauses to staff the Thomas Prince's pursuit with civilian volunteers.

Story so far

Danis General Contracting owns and operates roughly half the civilian support ships in Earth's Ring fleet, including the Cerisier. As the Thomas Prince prepares to follow the Behemoth through The Ring, Danis invokes the exceptional-actions clause in its standard employment contract.

Every functional team must designate a volunteer for temporary Prince duty. Ordinary pay continues until contract completion, when hazard bonuses or exemptions may be assessed. The coercive definition of volunteering leaves workers choosing among risk, employment consequences, and pressure on teammates. Melba Koh accepts her team's place within minutes, receiving transfer orders and three hours to settle affairs.

Appearance

Danis has no single described physical form; it appears through dense priority legal messages, contractor identification records, support ships, and standardized transfer orders.

Role

Danis supplies the civilian labor enabling the Prince's Ring pursuit and creates the contractual opening Clarissa uses to follow Holden.

Relationships

Cerisier — It owns and operates the Cerisier as one part of its immense civilian support fleet.
