The last surviving physical Primal — a resistance fighter who took the brunt of the genocidal final attack and emerged, cocooned and transformed, as a power behind the modern dungeon.
The AI's parade narration finally grounds the Apothecary in history. Born near the end of the Primals' civilization, engineered like the others to meld into the collective, she instead joined the resistance fighting the Eulogist project's forced ascension. When the collective loosed its genocidal nine-tier attack, she took the brunt of it, an act that let nascent life across the baby worlds survive — then was trapped on a world of her own making, cocooned for a millennium.
She emerged 'like a butterfly,' physically changed into a version of the very thing she'd fought against, by which time the Syndicate was already repeating the old cycle. The AI dismisses the dungeon's fairy-tale lore about her and calls her, bluntly, 'just as crazy as the Security Guard' — noting she too sheds pieces of herself as Residuals for defense. The last physical Primal, she is a foundational, ambiguous power over everything that followed.
Once a physical Primal like the masked Horribles; after a millennium cocooned, transformed into something other — form not concretely shown here.
The last surviving Primal and resistance fighter, transformed after absorbing the genocidal attack — a shadowy power behind the modern dungeon.
