Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper spell · Tome of Gatekeeper spell

A class-nullifying spell that strips a target of all class skills and abilities for a short time — usable only from the twelfth floor.

Story so far

Gatekeeper is the spell taught by Princess Donut's reclaimed floor prize, the Tome of Gatekeeper. For 75 mana it can be cast on any opponent, NPC, deity, or 'OI entity,' temporarily removing the target's ability to use any skills or abilities tied to its class; cast on a god, it strips the deity's Worshipper-Base spell and skill set, though raw elemental power (a lava god's lava) remains. Its duration scales with the caster's intelligence against the target's constitution plus charisma.

Crucially it is an Advance Reader Copy: Donut can install it on the eleventh floor but cannot actually cast it until the twelfth. The AI frames the spell with a long screed on real-world fandom gatekeepers, casting the ability as poetic revenge on those who hoard power and shut others out.

Appearance

An installed spell, unusable until the twelfth floor — no manifest form shown.

Role

A powerful class-nullification spell reserved for the twelfth floor, potent even against gods.
