Donut's sponsorship, abruptly cancelled for conflict of interest, with an auction to be held for a replacement.
Story so far
Mid-walk, Donut shouts that she has just received a notification: her sponsorship has been cancelled. It is "the garbage truck people," and the stated reason is a "conflict of interest." She demands to know what Carl did. Carl only says "Huh," and notes that at least she already opened the loot box from them.
The notification adds that there will be an auction for a new sponsor. Donut hopes it lines up properly with her brand this time — the toy company Veriluxx was a dud and Dnadia sold off another of her sponsorships — and would like something to complement The Apothecary, even if the Apothecary already sponsors half the dungeon. The joke lands later in the chapter: Tipid spent a very long time working for a waste management company in a Crest colony, and it was one of that industry's garbage freighters, refurbished into a passenger liner, that carried 50,000 former crawlers into the dungeon to fight for Donut's own team.
