Story so far
When Bear Witness froze the floor, the word "Witness" appeared over each affected person, followed by a strange symbol Carl didn't recognize: two Cs back to back with a flaming lance driven through the middle.
Carl had no idea what it meant and no time to find out — Bring Forth the Witnesses fired seconds later and every marked body went up into the sky.
