Divine Items

divine item

Items that grant extra varying benefits or debuffs in the presence of divine entities.

Story so far

A divine item imbues additional, varying benefits when in the presence of divine entities. Kevin notes it is almost unheard of for two crawlers working together to hold divine items in the same crawl, as Carl does with The Scavenger's Daughter and Katia with the Enchanted Spiked Knee Pads of the Munificent Goddess Kina — plus Prepotente's saddle on Bianca.

Baroness Victory explains that benefits and debuffs are generally identical across divine items, with exceptions tied to the specific deity: Katia's bonuses near Kina would be far stronger than Carl's, and the same would hold for Carl near the Scavenger, though Victory dismisses that as something they'll never see. Holding two divine items does not double the effect — only the more powerful applies. She has heard of matched sets of armor supposedly all divine, prepared far ahead of time.

Role

The loot tier whose effects scale with which god is present.
