Story so far
Form Change is the changeling ability to assume stored shapes. This chapter shows its gradations. Jessica drops the Sick-Ass Worgo slug shape for a large blank humanoid form — size itself indicating age and power — and then changes only the head, leaving the rest of the body unaltered, 'something else only the most powerful changelings could do.'
She uses that partial swap to wear Juice Box's human head while relaying her leader's words over the chat system, then shifts once more into an Ice Elf and speaks in her own voice. Changing form also updates the system name displayed above the creature, which is how Justice sees 'Sick-Ass Worgo' become 'Jessica.' Blank forms are the default resting state, featureless and neutral, with borrowed features layered on top.
