Story so far
Tipid explains that although the Princess Posse's crews arrived days ago — with alchemists producing materials the whole time — they hadn't been able to start the actual construction until just now, because the system wouldn't let them build until they were officially converted.
That gate is why the Stronghold is still a girder skeleton with 52 hours left on the Ceasefire, and why thousands of recruits had to take the Fortification Engineer class to compress the remaining work into the time available.
